February Speaker: Bruce Mowday, Local Historian.
In recognition of America 250, Bruce will present
“Common Soldier: Uncommon Hero.” This talk reflects on the people
and principles that shaped our nation. Specifically, the presentation
focuses on everyday soldiers whose stories are often overlooked.
Additionally, it connects key figures and moments in American history.
These include Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, the Declaration of
Independence, and the Constitution. As a result, attendees will gain
perspective as the country prepares to mark 250 years of independence.
