Speaker: Mike Adams, Director at Hagley’s Museum
Mike will talk about how the DuPont Family impacted the American story. He will talk about the 225-year history of the du Pont family in France immigrating to the new United States, their decision to establish a black powder factory on the Brandywine, the way the company grew, how they became a museum and library, and the kinds of work Hagley does today.
They demonstrated how aspects of an innovative mind (things like courage, resilience, reflection, exploration, etc.) have been central to what it means to be innovative for centuries and that we can learn from their examples today.
